Intense dark ruby color with a lighter rim. Promise on the nose of wild black bramble berries. Dark fruit intensity (plums and mulberries) with a soft core is supported by well textured tannins. Oak is well integrated and shows itself with some smokiness that compliments the character of the wine. The weight and intensity of the wine suggests it needs time and will be good for cellaring. It will continue to develop for five to eight years.
